When a cloned app is running in the background and you don't use it for a while, your device may reclaim it to save battery and improve the performance of other apps. There are a few ways you can try to avoid this if it's impacting your ability to access and your cloned apps: Turn off 'Power Saving Mode' The name of this setting varies between devices, but can usually be found under Settings > Battery and disabling the 'Power Saving Mode' that's on by default. This will prevent your device from reclaiming Multiple Apps. Allow background activity Navigate to Settings > Apps > Multiple Apps > Battery and look for a setting to 'Allow background activity' which will let Multiple Apps and your cloned apps continue to run in the background. Add to 'Apps that won't be put to Sleep' The name of this setting also varies between devices, but can typically be found under Settings >Battery or by searching for "Background usage limits". Make sure and your desired cloned apps are listed under 'Never sleep'.
We work hard to ensure Multiple Accounts supports every possible app, but each app's developer sets their own policies regarding the use of more than one account per device. Using Multiple Accounts to clone an app does not hide your device id, IMEI, MAC address, IP address, or any other device identifier. We do not guarantee that using a cloned version of any app will allow you to access accounts that have been banned, and we are not able to assist if you are banned or suspended. If your account in a cloned app has been suspended and you believe it's due to using a cloned app, you will need to reach out to them directly for help; you may still be able to get the account back by contacting that app's support team and explaining the situation.

There are two possibilities for why you are not receiving message notifications. First Reason: The Multiple Accounts app doesn’t have the necessary message notification permissions. When these permissions aren’t enabled, the cloned app running in the background does receive the notification, but because it’s in the background it depends on Multiple Accounts to pass that notification along to you and Multiple Accounts can’t show you that notification without these permissions. Recommendation: Luckily, this is an easy fix! Just navigate to your device’s Settings menu, select App Permissions, find the Multiple Accounts App and grant it all notification-related permissions. Second Reason: The second possible reason is that when a cloned application is running in the background, and you don’t use or access it for a period of time, your device’s operating system may reclaim it to save memory and processing power. Normally this is a great thing to do, so you don’t have unused apps running in the background slowing down your device, but it does prevent those apps from receiving notifications. Recommendation: If Multiple Accounts has all of the appropriate permissions and you’re still not receiving notifications, you may need to turn off the power saving policy in your device’s settings and grant Multiple Accounts permission to start automatically. This will prevent your device from closing cloned apps running in the background to save battery, and if they are closed this allows Multiple Accounts to reopen them for you and continue receiving notifications. If you've tried both of these recommendations and still aren't receiving notifications from your cloned app, please contact us with the details and we'll work with you to troubleshoot and try to solve the problem!
In order to create clones of your favorite apps and allow you to have many accounts, the Multiple Accounts app runs copies of your cloned app in separate instances of Android. Each of these separate Android environments needs to meet the permissions required by the cloned apps in order to run them properly. These permissions are based on the requirements of the app(s) you're cloning; the good news is that Multiple Accounts app in no way leverages any of this permissions for itself. Then why is Multiple Accounts asking for a permission I know this app doesn't require? You may be seeing a permission request for something you don't believe is related to the app you're cloning, and you might be right! When configuring the Multiple Accounts app, we have to ensure the right permissions are requested and enabled to support all of the most commonly used apps. This means that even if you're using say, Pokemon Go for example, you may still see a request for access to your contacts even though Pokemon Go doesn't require access to your contacts to run. This is because some of the most commonly used apps in Multiple Accounts include things like WhatsApp, Facebook, Wechat, and Instagram which do require access to your contacts to perform many of their basic functions and we have to accommodate that. What if I don't want to grant that permission? You absolutely have a right to not allow any of the requested permissions, and many of the cloned apps Multiple Accounts supports may be able to run decently well without them, but we've also found that having any of these common permissions disabled can cause odd issues in the duplicate Android environments that may make your user experience less enjoyable. These functionality issues are easily fixed with those permissions enabled, but it's totally up to you!
To create a second account, you'll be using Multiple Accounts to clone that app. Once it's cloned, you can enter the app and create a whole new account for yourself! Just follow these steps:

1. Install Multiple Accounts
2. Tap the '+' button inside the Multiple Accounts app, in the top-right corner
3. Select any app in which you'd like to create a second account
4. The icon for this app will now appear on the main page of Multiple Accounts
5. Tap the new app icon in Multiple Accounts; this will launch a new instance of the app and allow you to create a second account!
If you have an active VIP Membership and aren't able to clone an unlimited number of apps, use the Secret Zone, or are seeing ads, there are a few things you can try to correct the issue:
1.Ensure that you've registered an account in Google Play and that you're logged in. Multiple Accounts app relies on the information from Google Play to remember you and save your VIP Membership status.
2. Use that account to log in to Google Play on any device before accessing Multiple Accounts to enable your VIP Membership on that device.
3. If you have used Multiple Accounts before you logged in to Google Play, signing in to Google Play may not correct the problem. In this case, you'll want to remove Multiple Accounts app, sign in to Google Play, and then reinstall Multiple Accounts.

NOTE: Keep in mind that your account, and your VIP Benefits, can only be active on one device at one time! You will need to ensure you're signed in to Google Play first, before Multiple Accounts, every time you switch to a new device, or remote and reinstall the app. If you've switched devices recently or reinstalled Multiple Accounts before logging in to Google Play, you may not be logged in as a VIP Member.
If you can verify that you're logged in correctly and the issue is still persisting, please contact support and provide the following information:

* Android ID(Find your ID inside Multiple Accounts app by going to Menu >Settings > About)
* Your GPA Order Number, which can be found in the email from Google Play when you made the purchase, starting with the letter 'GPA'

* If you no longer have your email receipt from Google Play, you can also find your GPA Order Number in your Google Wallet. Check out these instructions from Google on how to find it. https://support.google.com/store/answer/6160235
Because Multiple Accounts app is basically cloning your entire Android operating system to run copies of your apps, it can appear as a security risk or "malware" to some common anti-virus apps and software. The good news is that this is a false positive!
We've worked with most major anti-virus providers to ensure that Multiple Accounts app is added to their list of safe apps, which in turn prevents it from being flagged as a virus or malware in the future.
If your anti-virus provider is indicating that the Multiple Accounts app is a virus, please reach out to Support and let us know! We'll work with that provider directly to correct the user for you and all other users of that anti-virus service.
If you still have concerns, don't worry! We're verified by Google Play Protect as a secure app and uphold the highest security and privacy standards. You can rest assured that the Multiple Accounts app is safe to use and will never have an adverse effect on your device.
We work hard to ensure that the Multiple Accounts app supports as many applications as possible, especially ones we know are frequently used and make it difficult to have more than one account, like games and social media apps.
However, there may be some apps that Multiple Accounts does not yet support. If there's an app you're interested in using Multiple Accounts for, but you're unable to add it to or open it with the Multiple Accounts app, please contact Support with as much information as possible.
We're always looking for opportunities to expand our support for even more apps, and the more requests we get requesting an app, the faster we can try to prioritize adding it to Multiple Accounts!

Ideally, yes! Multiple Accounts is geared towards being a convenient hub for you to access and manage all of the cloned apps you're using. However, you can create a shortcut on your home screen by long-pressing the desired app icon in Multiple Accounts. A menu will appear with a prompt to 'Add Desktop Icon' or 'Create Shortcut' depending on your device. Select this and a shortcut to the cloned app will appear on your device's home screen. With this shortcut, you can launch directly into your cloned app without entering the Multiple Accounts interface. Some devices won't show this option when long-pressing app icons within Multiple Accounts. There may be two reasons for this:

1. The permission to allow Third-party Apps to create Desktop Shortcuts has not been enabled for Multiple Accounts. You can find and enable this in your device's Settings. Once enabled, return to the Multiple Accounts app and repeat the long-press action to create a shortcut.
2. If you've enabled this permission, or no such permission exists in your device's settings, your device's operating system may not support or allow third-party apps to create shortcuts. This is common for Xiaomi and OPPO devices. In this case, unfortunately, there's no way for us to create a shortcut to the cloned app, but you can still access it normally via the Multiple Accounts interface.
Note: Don't forget to check the Multiple Accounts app regularly for news and updates, since you may miss these when launching directly into cloned apps from your home screen!
When you're used to having only one account logged in an app at a time, concern that you may impact your main account by having a second one via Multiple Accounts is definitely understandable! The good news is no, having a second account in any app will not affect your primary account.
This is because Multiple Accounts creates a clone of that app and runs it in a separate instance of Android. The result is that the two apps run simultaneously and never share an environment, which means they'll never interact or cause an issue for the other copy!
To Delete a cloned app
Faq 12
Long-press the app icon inside Multiple Accounts and select 'Delete App', indicated by the trash icon. This will remove the clone and the app icon.
If you've added any home screen shortcuts to this cloned app, you will need to delete those separately.
WARNING: Deleting a cloned app will remove the app and all related data, be sure you've registered an account or otherwise saved your progress before deleting the app. We are unable to assist with recovering any cloned app's data.
1. To add a cloned app, tap the '+' button and choose it from the list to add it to Multiple Accounts.
● If you're not able to find the app you're looking for in this list, make sure that app, Multiple Accounts, and your Android and device's system are all up-to-date. Force close all apps on your phone and reopen Multiple Accounts to try again.
● If this doesn't work and the app you're looking for still doesn't show up in the list, it may not be supported by Multiple Accounts yet. Check out our guide on Unsupported Apps
2. That app's icon will appear inside Multiple Accounts, tap on it to open the cloned app. From there, it's up to you to create a new account and proceed!
● The process and requirements to create an account are set by that app's developer - Multiple Accounts cannot override these requirements or make an account on your behalf.
● If you have questions, concerns, or need help making a new account in an app you're cloning, you will need to reach out to that app's developer directly for assistance.
● For example, if you need help making another WhatsApp account, you'll need to contact WhatsApp's Support channel.
You can create a Shortcut by long-pressing the cloned app icon and selecting 'Home Screen'.
Faq 14-1
You'll be asked to choose a custom icon and name for your shortcut, but this is optional.
Faq 14-2
Once you tap 'Submit' the shortcut should appear on your device's home screen. Navigate there to see if it was created successfully.
Faq 14-3
If you can't make a shortcut by long-pressing the app icon in Multiple Accounts and tapping 'Desktop', you may need to enable permission. Go to Settings > Apps > Multiple Accounts and look for settings related to creating home screen shortcuts. If there are no Shortcut-related or Home Screen settings available, your device may not allow third-party apps to create shortcuts.

Faq 15-5
b. Otherwise you'll see a standard screen
Faq 15-6
8. The app icon will appear in the Secret Zone, tap it to begin!

You may need to log in to your existing account when the new copy of your cloned app launches in Secret Zone.
The Secret Zone and App Lock features allow you to lock your cloned apps with a pin, or hide them in a secure part of your device's memory, but these features require an active VIP Membership.
What's different between them? App Lock lets you secure existing cloned apps in Multiple Accounts with a PIN code. Secret Zone is a PIN-secured area of Multiple Accounts where you can add any number of apps to clone - this allows you to secure them and hide them from other users on your device!
● If you're not a VIP yet, you can enable a VIP Membership and gain access to these features at any time by tapping the VIP crown in the top-right corner and enrolling.
If you're already a VIP Member, you can follow these steps to set up and enjoy the App Lock feature:
1. Tap the lock icon in the top-right corner of Multiple Accounts
2. Set a PIN and email address
3. Return to the home screen and click the Lock icon in the top-right
Faq 16-1
4. Enter your new PIN
Faq 16-2
5. Select an app to Lock (or Unlock / Remove Lock).
○ Apps in the "Lock" section with the blue highlighted Lock icon are currently Locked.
○ Apps in the Unlock section with the dim/grey unlocked icon do not have Lock applied. Tap an app in this section to lock it.
Faq 16-3
6. Return to the Multiple Accounts home screen. Tap the app you just added the Lock to, and confirm that before it launches you will be required to enter your PIN!
Cloned apps exist in an entirely separate instance of Android. This means that cloned apps which need information from the primary instance of Android on your phone such as your Contacts may not be able to access it.
You may be able to resolve this issue by enabling permission to access your contacts via your device's settings in Apps > Multiple Accounts > Permissions > Contacts.
If this doesn't work, or the setting was already enabled properly, we recommend adding your Contacts app to Multiple Accounts alongside the cloned app you need to access it with. This adds a copy of your Contacts to the instance of Android where your clone resides, allowing it to access that information.
When apps are added to Multiple Accounts as a clone, the cloned apps automatically inherit the most recent update from the primary version of that app on your phone, but occasionally they become out-of-sync.
If this happens, here's a quick fix:
● Long-press the app icon inside Multiple Accounts and tap 'One Key Repair'.
Faq 18-1
○ This should bring the apps back into sync, ensuring that the cloned version inside Multiple Accounts receives the most current update from that app's developer.
Ensure that the primary copy of the app on your phone is fully up-to-date before doing so!
Clone Related Apps
Additionally, if the 'Please Update' message you're seeing is related to a helper app (Example: You're being asked to update Facebook when opening a game app) adding that app to Multiple Accounts alongside the existing cloned app may help.
To correct issues with apps requesting updates to Facebook, Google, or Google Play
● Use the + function to add the desired app to Multiple Accounts
● Choose a placement for your clone alongside the app you want to use it with
● Log into that clone with your desired account info
● Relaunch the app that was previously asking you to update Facebook/Google/etc
With the related/helper app also in the cloned space, you should stop seeing the 'Please Update' message when opening your other apps. If this doesn't help, please contact Support so we can assist you further!
Missing Contacts Most apps that display your Contacts rely on the Contacts list in your phone - when you add an app to Multiple Accounts as a clone it's separated into its own copy of Android, and can no longer access your contacts.
To fix this, we recommend adding your Contacts as a cloned app. Please note, this is only possible on some Android phones. If you do not see Contacts as an option to select from the list, your device may not allow this solution at this time.
To clone your Contacts app:
● Use the + function to add the desired app to Multiple Accounts, select "Contacts"
Faq 19-1
● Choose a placement for your Contacts clone alongside the app you want to use it with
● Relaunch the app that was previously missing your Contacts and see if they appeared!
If this doesn't help, please contact Support so we can assist you further!
